Naples Implant-Supported Dentures

If you’re missing all your natural teeth, for comfort and stability, nothing beats implant-supported dentures. At Cameron Dental Studio, we offer different types to fit a range of budgets. We also offer the convenience of in-house implant surgery.

Benefits of Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are held in place by dental implants, which are metal fixtures embedded into your jaw. This keeps them from sliding around the way that traditional dentures often do and allows you to get back to eating and speaking with ease and comfort.

Rendering of a woman's face before and after experiencing facial collapse as a result of bone resorption. On top of the comfort of implant-supported dentures, there’s another reason to consider getting dental implants: to prevent bone resorption. When you lose your natural teeth, your body begins a process of breaking down the jawbone so that the material can be used elsewhere in the body. This causes the jawbone to shrink, which over time leads to changes that will eventually affect your daily life. One is that your face will begin to appear older and shriveled, as the structural support of the jaw becomes increasingly compromised. Another is that there will be less and less bone support for your dentures, which will cause them to slide around more and eventually no longer fit.

Dental implants prevent these problems because they halt the process of bone resorption. An implant, acting as an artificial “root” embedded in the jaw, signals to the body that the bone surrounding it is needed so that it won’t be disintegrated.

At Cameron Dental Studio, we seek to make dental care as accessible as possible. We offer different types of implant-supported dentures to accommodate different-sized budgets.

Implant Overdentures

Drawing of a pair of implant-supported dentures that attach via snaps. Our most affordable implant-supported dentures are implant overdentures. They attach to the implants through snaps, so you can easily remove or reaffix them yourself. The snaps hold the dentures in place, which means no more sliding around! Our most economical option is to use just two implants to support the denture. For additional stability, we can use more implants.

Fixed Implant Dentures

If you desire even more stability and a truly natural feel, you’ll love fixed implant – also known as hybrid – dentures. Firmly screwed into place with no wiggle room, these will feel like having your own teeth back!

Implant Bridge

An implant bridge is a premium option for those who really don’t want a denture at all. With this treatment, your entire smile is restored with beautiful zirconia crowns bridged together and securely anchored via dental implants.

Not Enough Bone? No Problem!

If you’ve been told or are concerned that you may not have enough jawbone remaining to support dental implants, we can help. One approach we can take is to use the all-on-4 method in which we place the implants at an angle so as to take full advantage of the available bone mass. If this isn’t right for your situation, we also offer bone grafting in our office.

Dental Implants: Our Process

Before getting started with dental implants, we’ll first review your medical history to make sure you are a candidate. Then we’ll give you a comprehensive exam in which we take x-rays and a CBCT scan. This scan gives us an important 3D look at your mouth, jaw, and nasal cavities so that we can pinpoint the proper location for each of your implants. To learn more, visit our 3D CBCT Dental Imaging page. Next, it will be time for your implant surgery, which we’ll take care of in our office for your convenience. Once your implants are placed, we’ll wait a few months to allow them to fuse to the bone. After that, we’ll affix your new implant-supported denture!
